Axillary Temperature of Normal Pabies after First DPT Vaccination

Abstract
Vaccination, a highly standardised infective challenge, leads to a disturbance of th normal night time rhythm of body temprature in most babies, thought the extent of the change varies between individuals.
In this study, axillary temeraures were recorded before the vaccination from 2~3 month old aged 156 normal infants in their home. Of the 156 subjects 4 babies had a raised axillary temperature, so they needed antipyretics after the immunization.
Except
of the 4 febrile subjects. 152 subjects showed no differences axillary temperatures before and after the vaccination.
I concluded that the vaccination did not lead to a disturbance ofr the normal temperature. Even thought it did, the disturbance might be small.
